LONGER INTRODUCTION? /By: Dan Nahum Estillore
I often see students writing long introduction hoping to have a better score in writing task 2.
Here is my view:
Writing a long introduction is more likely to harm you than making your writing better. The more time you spend in your introduction the less time you have in writing good main body paragraphs. Remember, the main body is far more important than in any parts of your essay. It is the key of getting a high score.
So what should a student do?
Here are some suggestions:
1.Spend less time in both introduction and conclusion.
2.Spend more time planning the main body paragraphs.
3.Be familiar and prepare ideas for common IELTS topics before you take the exam.
